Annual Conference Orientation:June 1, 5 PM, Church of the Good Shepherd, Vienna

Attention:All Clergy, Lay and Reserve District-at-Large Members of the Annual Conference

On Sunday, June 1st from 5:00-6:00 p.m., the Alexandria and Arlington Districts will offer Annual Conference Orientation at Church of the Good Shepherd in Vienna.  This meeting is designed to review procedures of Annual Conference and issues that will be presented for Annual Conference action.    Please mark this date on your calendar and plan to attend.  Checks for District At- Large members and District Youth and Young Adult Delegates will be made available at this time. Church of the Good Shepherd is located at 2351 Hunter Mill Rd, Vienna, VA 22181

Spring Bi-District Lay Speaking Events

There are TWO bi-district lay speaking events this spring:

1. May 17, 2008 - Bi-District Lay Speaking Conference (for local church and certified lay speakers). No charge, but registration is required (form found here). Contact is Rick Kottemann ( This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it )
2. May 31 AND June 7, 2008 - Bi-District Basic Lay Speaker Training. $20 (includes book needed for the course). Register by contacting Calloway UMC, 703-525-4472.
